The versatile Double Diamond retractable safety barriers from The Australian Trellis Door Company (ATDC) are way ahead of all other challengers on the Australian market.

The heavy-duty mesh infill of these barriers is very tightly interwoven, resulting in a pitch of 65mm between the cross linkages.

The advantages of this design are many:

  1. It is very difficult to reach through the door to access valuable goods/products on the inside of the premises being secured.
  2. The doors can serve as a safety guard preventing persons from injuring themselves from dangerous plant and machinery.
  3. It is very difficult to gain a foothold and climb over these barriers, making them a very valuable loss prevention device. The barriers comply with the no foothold test and also the Simulated Climbing provisions of the Australian Standards for Temporary Fencing and Hoardings.
  4. The doors comply with the Dynamic Impact provisions of the Australian Standards for Temporary Fencing and Hoardings.
  5. The doors are WHS and OH+S compliant for safe operation for customers and staff.
  6. The barrier lends itself to compliance with the emergency egress provisions of the BCA where required by utilising a keyless exit system.

ATDC’s safety retractable barriers

For a recent project at Westfield Eastgardens in Sydney, ATDC’s unique safety retractable barriers were used as a screen to the restaurant precinct as a crowd control and access control device to lock down areas of the shopping centre.
