SUPAWOOD’s SUPASLAT slatted panels feature throughout the reception and common areas of Suez’s dynamic workspace in Rhodes NSW.

The client desired a space that would reflect the environmental elements of their business practice. To this end, the project designers chose a natural palette and looked for an eco-friendly ceiling product that could address noise reverberation in the open reception and lounge areas.

Suez is a leader in water supply solutions, waste treatment and recycling, so a key consideration throughout the project was to ensure a cost-effective use of materials with minimal wastage. Joinery pieces were, therefore, designed to be as close to waste neutral as possible.

SUPASLAT slatted panels matched the design criteria perfectly. This versatile product was supplied to site as compete panels in the specified sizes required. Installation was then very easy and economical with no on-site cutting or waste.

The panels are in profile 1 and finished in a low VOC SUPAFINISH Tasmanian Oak laminate, complementing the other materials used throughout. The very low maintenance and low VOC characteristics of this finish ensure a healthy and efficient office environment.

Additionally, the panels were supplied with an acoustic backing to help address noise reverberation and delivered on time and on budget.

The slatted ceiling delivers an inviting softness to the space where guests enter and staff also meet and interact. The result is a welcoming, contemporary and aesthetically beautiful space, which echoes the business objectives of Suez.
