Self Contained  will be exhibiting a modified shipping container at the Conmex Infrastructure Australia outdoor exhibition in Adelaide.

This exhibition is an inaugural trade event dedicated to construction, mining and allied industries.

This modified container is a new hi cube (9ft6) container. It is painted white on the outside and has a personnel door and windows with gas strut shutters.

The modified shipping container is completely insulated with 50ml thick paneltec and is cooled with Fujitsu split system air conditioner with an inverter, which is recessed on the outside of the container.

This modified shipping container has a kitchenette comprising of a bench top, cold water sink with tap and plumbing, cupboard, drawers and space for a fridge.

The container from Self Contained has an external 3 phase plug to allow immediate powering of the modified container. An additional feature of the container is a new system of track based power distribution where power outlets can be repositioned anywhere along the track.

The team at Self Contained look forward to show their modified container at the Conmex exhibition and in fact to show many of the innovative designs that they can now add in their modified containers because they believe they can move with the new demands of the clients.

The modified containers from Self Contained always retain their SCS plates, which means they are fully transportable by truck, rail or ship and therefore can be transported anywhere in Australasia or in fact overseas.
