New electrical distribution board and generator showcased on Redstar Equipment stand at AIMEX 2013

    Redstar Equipment

An Australian-designed electrical distribution board and a generator are some of the products being showcased at the AIMEX 2013 by Redstar Equipment .

The AIMEX – Asia-Pacific’s International Mining Exhibition is being held at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park from August 20 to 23, 2013. Redstar Equipment is exhibiting their products on Stand B1074.

Redstar’s Sumo range of distribution boards is designed to provide mine spec electrical distribution capability in a compact, lightweight design, and can be run from mains or generator power, and cascaded or daisy-chained if required.

Redstar’s new Australian-designed Sumo Jumbo electrical distribution boards include both three-phase and single-phase outlets, all individually RCD and MCB protected with a main isolating switch for overall protection. According to Redstar national sales manager, Paul Sass, the boards are manufactured using high-quality European electrical components and assembled in Australia.

Sumo boards also feature lightweight alloy tie-off rails that double as convenient certified lift points, enabling the units to be safely moved around the site with ease by hand, forklift or crane. The briefcase-style design further enhances portability of the equipment.

Sumo electrical distribution boards combine state-of-the-art functionality and performance with superior safety standards compliance. Customer feedback about the practicality and efficiency of the Sumo Jumbo design has resulted in the doubling of initial production estimates for the Australian market. Redstar is seeking to establish international distribution channels for the product.

Redstar’s Sumo range also includes the Sumo Half Squat and Squat models with a Super Jumbo board to be added later this year.

Redstar will also use the AIMEX platform to promote its range of generators, welders, compressors and fuel tanks, including new Denyo Series 2 machines.

The new Denyo generator for prime fixed and prime mobile applications is another highlight of the Redstar stand. Designed with input from Redstar engineers, the diesel generators offer significant cost and efficiency benefits for prime power applications such as remote mines and remote accommodation facilities. The 10-year association between the two companies has resulted in a generator product that is proven for its reliability, efficiency and ability to withstand the harsh Australian environment.

Redstar upgrades all Denyo products with mine-spec features such as 110% bunding, emergency stop buttons, three-way fuel valves and auto cut-out switches on access doors.

Redstar also offers in-house engineering, electrical, mechanical and fabrication capabilities, as well as a variety of customisation and modifications to suit any spec. Redstar stocks a full range of spare parts, backed by service vehicles and technicians able to cover emergency breakdowns and repairs round the clock, 365 days a year.
