An MHTM boom gate from Magnetic Automation was installed in the car park of a major university to control traffic.

The university has several car parks and managing the traffic was proving to be a difficult task, given that hundreds of staff and students entered and exited the car parks each day.

Magnetic installed an MHTM boom gate to secure a small car park for university students who worked at the bar on campus.

The boom gate functions as an exit barrier via an induction loop sensor. An entry barrier on the other side of the car park is operated using a card reader bollard and an intercom system to determine who can access the car park.
