Roof Space Converters (RSC), the home renovation and extension arm of the Attic Group of Australia , kicked a goal at the recent NSW Master Builders Association Excellence in Building awards night. The gala dinner was held at Sydney’s Darling Harbour Convention Centre on August 11.

The company, a regular finalist across several categories at these annual awards, won the Renovations and Additions Under $150,000 section.

The owners of a single-storey home in Waverley spent $135,000 on turning previously wasted space in the roof cavity into two large bedrooms and a bathroom, providing the owners with much-needed living space for a growing family. The superb roof space conversion gave the owners a pleasant north-easterly aspect which takes in sea views.

Accepting the award on behalf of the Attic Group, was Roof Space Converters project manager, Warwick Wright. Accompanying him on stage to help carry away the trophy were the principal members of the ‘team’ which created the award-winning conversion – master carpenter Denis Moynihan, master plumber Peter Cook and RSC senior sales consultant Emory Somerton.

In accepting the award, Warwick, gave praise to his team of experts. “If you surround yourself with good people you come up with a good product and this fantastic job which earned us the award is testament to that,” he said.

Roof Space Converters also had another job which was a finalist in the Under $150,000 section as well as another in the $750,000 - $1 million category.
