Italian specialist appliance manufacturers, Smeg, have released an intelligent-technology coffee machine to the Australian market. The CMSC45 Linear coffee machine, available from Omega Appliances , delivers five different strength of coffee, adapts quantity of liquid to cup size, varies the temperature of its coffee according to taste, rinses automatically the internal line to the milk nozzle after each use, and gives LCD displays in nine different languages.

This new offering from Smeg is part of the company’s new design with sleek, simple lines, translucent polycarbonate control knobs and intuitive in its control and operation. The Linear CMSC45 coffee machine has a reduced height of 45cm, is designed to be integrated into existing cabinetry and is available in brushed stainless steel and black.

The other technical specifications of the Linear CMSC45 coffee machine include a 15 bar pump pressure, a hot water function for tea and other hot drinks, 220g coffee bean container and a 1.8l capacity water tank.

Being Italian in both design and manufacture, the Linear CMSC45 coffee machine offers a good frothing ability, creamy with a complete absence of any large bubbles. The integrated grinder operates at a minimal sound level, the milk is heated to the desired 65°C to 70°C (any higher and it will burn) and the machine can be programmed to turn on and be ready instantly. Additional features of the Linear CMSC45 coffee machine are its fan cooling system (to ensure adjacent cabinetry remains cool), an easy-clean drip tray and two halogen lights for shadow-free operation.

The 60cm wide, 1350W Smeg Linear CMSC45 coffee machine is a suitable partner to the new Linear range of ovens, cooktops, compact ovens and microwaves and warming drawers. The same coffee maker is also available in Smeg’s Classic styling model.
