When Mark Lafferty from Waratah Design began the design of the oak chair he knew exactly the material he wanted to work with, frosted Perspex. The design for this oak chair incorporated Perspex Frost Polar White 6mm from Mitchell Plastics .

“Perspex Frost from Mitchell Plastics is a nice, modern material - the source of inspiration. It also meets all our requirements: it is safe (Perspex is unbreakable whereas glass doesn’t comply with this point) and has excellent vacuum formability, colour range and surface. The translucent nature of the Perspex material also helps to create a unique affect against the oak chair frame”.
An added advantage in choosing frosted Perspex was maintenance. Due to its unique textured finish, Frost is especially resilient to finger marks.
