Lysaght was once again the sponsor of Channel Ten’s unique architectural show, Australia By Design (ABD) in 2018. The company had also sponsored the inaugural show last year.

Hosted by architect Tim Horton, the Registrar of the NSW Architecture Board, the weekly ABD show presents the very best of Australian architecture with 10 projects selected from an Australian state or territory. These projects are assessed by a panel of judges comprising of leading Australian architects as well as suppliers, engineers, and property professionals. Lysaght is also represented on the judging panel.

The series finale brings together all the winners from each state/ territory, who will vie for the top prize of Australia’s architectural statement of the year.

ABD’s 2017 series delivered an average viewership of 143,000 per episode. The Series One winner, the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) by architect Woods Bagot is testament to both the quality of work being done in this country and the talent present in the architectural profession.

For this year’s series, Lysaght Product & Brand Manager, Blake Tasker was chosen to represent the company on the judging panel.

Australia by Design 2018 premiered on Channel Ten on July 15, with the Series Finale airing on August 19.
