Lafarge InterHome is a newly designed separating wall system. It is suitable for side by side residential dwellings and meets fire and sound insulation requirements defined by the Building Code of Australia (BCA) as Class 1 and Class 10, such as duplexes or townhouses.

InterHome contains a central fire barrier, built between two timber frames, lined with plasterboard. The central fire barrier consists of the innovative InterHome H-Stud, fire-rated plasterboard and aluminium Clip. It maintains fire protection of the system and consists of sound insulation performance.

InterHome has been designed as a superior solution over masonry, conventional timber framed separating walls and other party wall systems.

The exclusive InterHome H–Stud makes it the only separating wall system that allows for the use of two layers of 13mm FireShield, providing for a more cost effective solution. Like other party wall systems, it can also be configured to support one layer of 25mm ShaftLiner.

InterHome saves time through a modular construction method. The central fire barrier is built during the construction of the timber wall frame in three metre high modular sections and can be installed by a carpenter. It allows for a hassle free installation of penetrations and services to ensure a low risk solution for easier certification.

Lafarge InterHome is innovative, cost effective and convenient.
