Equipment hire company, Kennards Hire has recently introduced a new portable water tank for use with wet cut and demolition saws on job sites where water is unavailable or out of reach.

The Hose2Go portable water tank can provide 20 litres of water, which is supplied to the saw by an inbuilt battery-operated pump. The hose connection measures 3.6m in length.

Greg McVicar operates Ample Fire Services and recently used a Hose2Go portable water tank from Kennards Seven Hills. Greg used the portable water tank during a fire hydrant installation for Parklea Markets in western Sydney.

The job involved accessing the water mains across the road from the markets. A demolition saw was used to make a penetration in the concrete footpath before a mini-excavator was put to work.

Greg said that the Hose2Go portable water tank had made the job easy. “The nearest tap was 100 metres away across a six-lane road,” he said. “This little tank holds plenty of water, but is still nice and portable.

“I can see it being used on jobs even where water is available, because it would save running
a hose.”

Hose2Go was created for Kennards by industrial design firm Kennovations and was produced by its manufacturing arm, Work Smart Equipment.

Hose2Go portable water pumps can be hire across the Kennards’ network of branches.
