Grip Guard Non Slip stair nosings have an R-13 slip resistance rating, the highest industry standard.
The nosings are available in a range of colours with standard colours of black, grey and safety yellow.
Australian Standards specify that stair nosings meet two criteria:
- Nosings must provide a minimum of 50mm of slip resistance on the leading edge of the stair tread. This reduces the risk of pedestrians slipping off the edge of the stair when descending or ascending.
- Nosings must have a 30% luminance contrast to colour of the stair tread to help prevent pedestrians from ‘missing’ a step. The contrast clearly distinguishes the leading edge to help avoid such mishaps
Grip Guard stair nosings are supplied pre-cut and pre-drilled for ease of installation and can easily be installed onto grid mesh stairs, checker plate stairs, timber stairs, concrete stairs or tiled stairs.
