Flowcrete Australia a finalist at awards for Food Magazine

    Flowcrete

Flowcrete Australia Pty Ltd made it to the final four of the Food Safety and Innovation category at the 2014 Food Magazine Awards.

The resin flooring specialist’s unique system, Flowfresh Antimicrobial PU was shortlisted for the award along with an intelligent checklist system for mobile platforms, a highly effective hand wash, and a compact, durable weighing system. Deb Australia took home the award thanks to its OxyBAC antibacterial hand wash.

Given the quality of entries in the Food Safety and Innovation category, making the shortlist was an impressive feat for Flowcrete Australia.

The awards night consisted of product showcases from the nominees, invaluable networking opportunities and a presentation from guest speaker Ian Harrison, the chief executive of the Australian Made campaign, who spoke about the importance of marketing a product’s country of origin.

Flowcrete Australia Managing Director Sean Tinsley said the event offered a great opportunity to meet other innovators in Australia’s food and beverage industry and find out about the market’s latest developments. He was pleased with the recognition earned by their highly effective food-safe floor, Flowfresh.

The Food Magazine Awards judges were impressed by the unique properties of the Flowfresh system, as no other antimicrobial flooring system in Australia works in the same way. The flooring system is designed to actively attack bacteria, facilitate fast and effective cleaning and provide assurance to the facility manager that the floor will not fail when subjected to the intense abuse of a large-scale food production plant.

A result of Flowcrete’s exclusive global partnership with Polygiene, the Flowfresh system delivers its superior bacteria eliminating properties using the silver ions incorporated throughout the resin matrix. Additionally, the seamless surface created as a result of the cementitious polyurethane make-up of Flowfresh minimises the risk of unwanted contaminants accumulating in gaps or cracks in the floor.

Flowfresh antibacterial flooring system will retain its unblemished finish for a long time with its ability to withstand harsh chemical corrosives, heavy impact, frequent foot traffic and extremely hot water washes.
