Flowcrete Australia has partnered with Altex Coatings Ltd to distribute their full range of high-performance resin flooring solutions across New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

The new distribution agreement with Altex Coatings (a member of the Resene group) will geographically enhance Flowcrete Australia’s presence in the construction market throughout these regions. The Tauranga based protective coatings specialist operates an extensive network of offices with well-established links to the building industry.

Having identified a significant demand for flooring materials among its existing client base, Altex Coatings will now make it possible for its customers to immediately source a wide variety of specialist epoxy, polyurethane and methyl methacrylate (MMA) resin floor and wall coating solutions. With complete access to Flowcrete’s full product portfolio, Altex Coatings will be able to supply commercial and industrial developments with innovative flooring technology, not otherwise available in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

Flowcrete Australia’s Managing Director, Sean Tinsley observed that the strategic distribution agreement with Altex Coatings will deliver a long list of mutually beneficial advantages to help grow both businesses. While Flowcrete will be able to access a wider audience via a long running and well trusted brand, Altex Coatings will be able to address a pressing demand in the construction market throughout New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

Though Flowcrete has supplied its resin flooring products for several landmark New Zealand projects in the past through relationships with applicators operating in the country, the new distribution agreement will significantly increase the manufacturer’s reach and ability to supply projects regardless of location.

Flowcrete Australia’s previous projects in New Zealand include the Eden Park stadium redevelopment where the watertight and UV stable deck coating system, Deckshield was chosen to coat the seating area of the stadium’s new South Stand and a decorative, fast curing Flowfast floor was installed in the members’ concourse area.

With the new distribution agreement in place, large-scale commercial and industrial facilities across New Zealand and the Pacific Islands will be able to install flooring solutions tailored by Flowcrete Australia to the demands of specific industries and environments. These include HACCP International Certified, antimicrobial, polyurethane systems, highly decorative seamless resin terrazzo surfaces and rapidly curing, hard wearing finishes.
