Flowcrete Australia recommends its fast cure Flowfast flooring range to facilities managers who seek to complete their floor refurbishments before the end of this financial year.

Facilities managers often have budgetary funding still available for flooring refurbishments and repairs towards the end of the financial year, but may not have sufficient time to complete traditional flooring solutions.

However, by using Flowcrete Australia’s fast cure methyl methacrylate (MMA) flooring range Flowfast, they can get the floor refurbishment done by June 30th.

Flowfast provides a decorative, durable, high performance floor finish that is fully trafficable just 90 minutes after application. The Flowfast formulation incorporates an accelerating catalyst that significantly speeds up the floor’s curing speed to help projects meet tight deadlines. Follow-on trades can also access the site earlier than usual, minimising the unnecessary downtime incurred by a typical refurbishment.

Key advantages of the Flowfast flooring range include ability to meet heavy-duty performance requirements of industrial environments; several decorative colour options available with a choice of flake or aggregate blends to provide an attractive solution underfoot in commercial environments; robust nature allowing the finish to maintain its visual appeal for an extended period of time despite continuous use and abuse within challenging conditions; and suitability for different environments and substrates.

Flowfast Quartz Scatter was recently used at the Pennant Hills Train Station Footbridge to provide a decorative, durable and slip resistant flooring solution. Selected for its resilience, rapid cure time and excellent bonding properties, the system was installed on top of existing metal panels.

Flowfast was again used in a completely different environment at the Earlwood Growers Market in Sydney’s inner western suburbs. The brief sought the industrial aesthetic of polished concrete but their substrate was not suitable. Providing an ideal solution to the challenging substrate, Flowfast Terrosso’s quick-curing system was installed on the aisles, trading floor, checkouts and deli areas of the store. The Flowfast Terrosso system has been developed for these high traffic retail spaces and delivers a decorative, robust and abrasion-resistant floor finish.

Flowcrete Australia’s methyl methacrylate flooring can be used to optimise an environment in a number of ways. For instance, coloured quartz aggregates can be broadcast over the Flowfast material to create a positively textured finish that will help to prevent slips and trips. It can also be installed on top of a number of substrates, including concrete, steel, tiles, resins and marine ply.

Flowcrete also facilitates rapid completion of flooring projects since the existing surface will not need to be taken out in most cases before the new finish is applied.
