    FLIR thermal offer 30% discount on cameras for firefighting schools

    Thermography specialist FLIR Systems has launched a new program for firefighting schools and training centres designed to increase the use of thermal imaging cameras in firefighting operations.

    Firefighters are increasingly using thermal imaging cameras to protect their own lives and to save the lives of others. The perfect tool for firefighters, FLIR K50 thermal camera is now being offered to firefighting schools and training centres at a 30% discount to encourage greater use of the equipment in their teaching programs.

    Firefighting schools and training centres can purchase up to three FLIR K50 thermal imaging cameras at a 30% discount.

    Designed to meet tough operating conditions, the FLIR K50 thermal camera can survive a drop from two metres onto a concrete floor, is water resistant to IP67, and fully operational up to +260°C for 5 minutes. The camera produces crisp thermal images of 320 x 240 pixels and has a large, bright 4” display.

    Key features of FLIR K50 thermal cameras also include intuitive and simple user interface for easy operation; 3 large buttons provided for control and suited for a firefighter's gloved hand; storage for thermal images, allowing later use for reporting; and full 2-year warranty on the camera and 10 years on the uncooled microbolometer.
