Single chip LED downlights from Dowin Australia offer higher CRI

    Dowin Australia

Colour rendering index (CRI) is a measure of the ability of a light source to render colours, compared to a reference source (incandescent or daylight), on a scale of up to 100, with 100 being identical to the reference source.

The higher the CRI, the better the fixture’s ability to show the true colours of the objects it is lighting. A higher CRI is required in art galleries, museums and hairdressers, where the selected lights are critical for not losing any of its original colours for its objects. The higher CRI is also very important for shopping centres and all the retail outlets.

Dowin Australia  recently released their single chip LED downlights. All single chip LED downlights in the series have a CRI of over 90. The consistence in light output and light colour is one of the most important quality issues for LED lights. Dowin Australia’s LED lights have been consistent in their light output and light colour since coming to the Australian market two years ago. Dowin’s LED lights also have a proven track record of a five years lifespan in the commercial environment.

In addition the single chip LED downlights, Dowin Australia also promotes its completely new LED T8 tube. The New LED T8 has a much wider beam angle that is almost the same as the normal florescent tube and has the same light output of the normal florescent T8. This product is fully compliant with the IEC and Australia Lighting Standard. These LED lights have just 16W of total power consumption compared with a normal florescent of 36w+8W ballast, which is more than 50 per cent of energy saving.
