A NEW 5000psi high pressure process pump has been introduced by Australian Pump Industries Manufactured by Idromeccanica Bertolini, the heavy duty high pressure pump produces 5,000psi pressure at flows of up to 21.5Lpm.
Called the HD Series the new pump is claimed to be suitable for a wide range of industrial process applications in food, petrochemical and manufacturing industries.
The pump head is manufactured from forged brass for corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. A new system of rapid action check valves are also incorporated in the design allowing easy service by access from top mounted forged brass valve caps.
The pump is of the three ceramic piston design with piston diameters of 30mm. Valves are of stainless steel. Designed for long, continuous industrial service applications, the pump is fitted with an exclusive Bertolini double "U" shaped self lubricating seals. These seals feature easy maintenance and are designed to eliminate drip problems.
A large oil filled crank case, designed for cool running is an integral part of the design. Tennifer reinforced stainless steel plunger rods are standard equipment and forged bronze conrods provide, long, trouble-free working life.
Oversized straight roller bearings are fitted each side of the crankshaft to provide extended working life even in continuous service applications.
The pump design lends itself to either long coupling through belt or coupling drive by either electric motor, air motor or hydraulic drive, or alternatively the pump can be close coupled to a hollow shaft 12.5kW 4-pole electric motor.
