Altro Flooring and Walling met the brief for a flooring solution required to be installed in a commercial kitchen at the Edgewater Lake Wanaka hotel in New Zealand.
Located on the shores of the beautiful Lake Wanaka, Edgewater is a hotel, conference and wedding venue. When the hotel’s kitchen needed to be refurbished and expanded, their commercial kitchen appliance supplier recommended Altro Stronghold K30 as the best safety flooring solution for them.
Commercial kitchen floors can get slippery over time with a build-up of grease, oils and fats. A wet floor, common in kitchens, can become treacherous and a slip hazard for employees. Floors in commercial kitchens, canteens, and food preparation and service areas need to have a surface that would help the staff do their job safely. The Edgewater hotel, therefore, sought a flooring solution that was durable, easy to clean, attractive and safe.
