High quality window and door framing products from ALSPEC were installed at a new home in Manly, NSW to capitalise on the panoramic coastal and ocean views for its residents. Alspec worked with locking solutions specialist Halliday + Baillie to ensure all-weather performance for the installation at the three-storey home overlooking the picturesque Fairy Bower Beach.
Designed by Lesiuk Architects and built by The Construction Connection, the new home combines Alspec’s ProGlide high performance sliding doors, ProTilt high performance awning/ casement windows and View-Max commercial sliding windows with superior locking products from Halliday + Baillie. Alspec Fabricator Taylors Aluminium was responsible for the installation.
Designed and manufactured in New Zealand, Halliday + Baillie’s key lock sliding systems are reputed for their longevity and all-weather performance based on the company’s 20+ years of production and testing in the extremes of the local environment. Featuring a slimline design, the Halliday + Baillie system is the perfect match for ProGlide commercial sliding doors with the lock system’s flush finish providing the locking mechanism a discreet appearance, while the high quality componentry ensures durability and performance. When integrated with the flush sills of the ProGlide sliding doors and the corner-stacking configuration, the combination gives the home a truly seamless interface between the indoor and outdoor areas, as well as a visually appealing finish.
Featuring precast zinc, brass and stainless steel componentry, Halliday + Baillie locks are available in a choice of five standard finishes with an option for customisation. For the Manly project, the doors and windows were powder-coated in Vivica Charcoal Pearl to match the Electro Black Ace finish of the Halliday + Baillie locks.
The home also features window glazing solutions from Alspec’s ProTilt and View Max ranges. Both the awning and sliding window products respectively deliver superior weather performance stemming from their overlapping internal and external seals. Each system can accommodate a range of glass options and thicknesses, ensuring enhanced thermal and acoustic performance in all applications.
