Tyco International Completes Signature Security Acquisition for Integration with ADT Security

Tyco International has completed the acquisition of Signature Security for integration with Tyco’s ADT Security business.  

The acquisition expands and strengthens service delivery to the Australian and New Zealand security industry.  

The AU$171 million acquisition of Signature Security will see the company being combined with Tyco’s ADT Security business.  

Part of Tyco’s security solutions business, ADT Security is a major electronic security provider with approximately 9 million customers around the world.  

Signature Security is a leading provider of electronic security systems and services in Australia and New Zealand, providing security installation and monitoring services to more than 90,000 premises.  

Commenting on the acquisition’s completion, ADT Security Australia Managing Director, Mark Norton said that the transaction brings together two of the leading companies in the Australian and New Zealand residential and commercial security industry.  

The acquisition enables both companies to strengthen their respective market leadership positions and supports ADT Security’s vision for long-term growth in the Asia-Pacific region.  

ADT and Signature have strong operating platforms and a shared dedication to quality customer service.  

The integration will see both businesses leveraging their combined scale and resources to offer better sales, installation and service capabilities to their customers.
