ADM Instrument Engineering introduces the new Mean Well PSC 160W series security power supplies.

Specifically designed for security applications, Mean Well’s PSC series of security power supplies features a primary output as well as an additional charger output with a relatively small current that allows the use of the power supply in UPS applications with a back-up battery.

The Mean Well PSC-160 power supply is available in two versions: While the PCB version will be of interest to OEMs, the enclosed version is more suited to integrators and contractors, who need a power supply that can easily be mounted inside a control cabinet. The enclosed version is available with an optional L-bracket and cover.

The PSC-160 series has an input range from 90VAC through to 264VAC, and features Mean Well’s built-in active PFC function. The two output options include an adjustable output range of 12-15VDC, or 24-29VDC, making the PSC-160 perfect for most security applications, including emergency lighting systems, alarm systems, DC UPS systems, central monitoring systems, and access systems.

Key features of the Mean Well PSC-160 power supplies also include high efficiency rating of up to 90%; operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C under free air convection; built-in protections for short circuit, overload, over voltage, low battery, and battery reverse polarity (by fuse); optional alarm function for AC OK and battery low, via a relay contact signal output; and compliance with international safety approvals such as UL, CUL, CB and TUV.

The Mean Well PSC-160 power supply is supplied by ADM complete with C-Tick.
