The Master Builders Association of Victoria has announced Rebecca Casson as its new CEO.

Casson, who is currently CEO of the Committee for Geelong, will replace Radley de Silva, who is retiring after five years as CEO and 17 years with Master Builders.

According to Melanie Fasham, president of Master Builders, Casson’s extensive history of advocacy and outstanding organizational skills make her an exceptional appointment.

“Construction is critical to the state’s economy being the largest full time employer in Victoria, supporting more than 28,000 jobs,” says Fasham.

“This appointment will result in the Master Builders continuing to expand our leadership role representing the interests of the industry and the people who work in it, as well as further contributing to the industry through our extensive training program.”

Casson will join Master Builders early next year.

“The board would like to pay tribute to Radley de Silva for his outstanding and dedicated service to Master Builders,” adds Fasham.
