Women’s Agenda, an Australian news hub targeting “professional and entrepreneurial women”, has launched a design and architecture category for the 2017 Women’s Agenda Leadership Awards.

The five-year-old awards program celebrates emerging female leaders across a broad range of sectors. This is the first time that arts and design have been recognised at the awards.

Women’s Agenda is currently seeking nominations for individuals who are recognised as emerging leaders in the field of architecture and design. Specifically, the program is looking for nominees that demonstrate growth, disruption and inclusivity in their fields, as demonstrated through work conducted during the 12 months from 1 July 2016.

“Emerging leaders are rethinking existing paradigms regarding how we live and work,” reads a statement on the Women’s Agenda awards website. “They’re determined to reshape their industry and create a smart and more inclusive future. Their leadership is disruptive, inclusive and inspires growth.”

Submissions to the 2017 Women’s Agenda Leadership Awards close this Friday, 25 August. More information and entries here.
