The Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building, University of Technology Sydney has invited noted formwork robotics expert and architect Jelle Feringa to share his experience, skills and knowledge with academics and industry during the launch of their new Automated Fabrication Lab.

Jelle Feringa has been working closely with UTS Architecture academic Dave Pigram to facilitate workshops with researchers and industry groups at the Automated Fabrication Lab. Over the next few weeks, Jelle will explore the future of computing in construction, architecture and design at the new facility.

The new facility at UTS’ Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building is expected to open up fresh opportunities in terms of collaborations with industry to develop more flexible, creative, cost-effective and sustainable production and construction solutions.

Jelle is a world leader in the fields of algorithmic design and robotic fabrication, operating across both entrepreneurial commercial practice and academic research.
