The project is competing with five others from around the world. “Shortlisting of our Abbotsleigh sports hall with the very best sports buildings from across the globe sets off an exciting contest,” says principal architect and CEO of AJ+C, Michael Heenan.

“We designed a sensitive building sitting lightly in its native Australian environment which is now up against buildings such as the mega San Mames Stadium in Bilbao.”

The winner of the award will be announced at the WAN awards event in London on 28 February 2018.
