The Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards Architecture & Interior Design category is open for entries.

The Award offers architects and interior designers aged between 18 and 30 the opportunity to further their career with travel, cash and a professional mentorship.

$5,000 in Qantas flights will enable the winner to jet off to wherever inspiration calls, with $5,000 in cash to help propel their creative adventures.

The winner will also receive a 12 month mentorship under the guidance of internationally respected architect, Brian Zulaikha, founder of the award-winning Tonkin Zulaikha Greer architecture firm, chairman of the committee responsible for Australia’s representation in the Venice Architecture Biennale and a believer in environmentally sustainable design.

Last year’s winner was Tomek Archer, who has Europe in his sights as part of his award package.

The competition is open to architects and interior designers working in all styles and genres: functional, experimental, conceptual, furniture, appliances, accessories, objects, ideas, innovations – and everything in between.

Entries close at 2.00pm AEST on Tuesday 1 October.
