Melbourne Design Week will return for its second iteration in March 2018. Among its ten-day program is Open State, an event presented by Open House Melbourne.

Similar to their annual weekend, Open House Melbourne’s event in March will adopt the ‘open access’ model and offer tours of architecturally significant buildings.

There’s no news in regard to what buildings will be on show just yet. The 2017 Open State program, however, included buildings such as the STHDI and MCR-designed Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre and Medibank Place designed by Hassell.

Melbourne Design Week 2018 will run between 15 and 25 March, and will coincide with the NGV Triennial, a free exhibition featuring the work of over 100 artists and designers from 32 countries. The winner of the inaugural Victorian Design Challenge will also be announced.
