Nominations for the 7th Annual BPN Sustainability Awards, which will be held in Sydney on Thursday 21 November 2013, are coming to a close.

Aiming to recognise the work of those at the forefront of ecologically sustainable building and design in Australia, the Awards reflect BPN’s strong belief in design being a key factor in helping buildings and products endure the test of time.

Shortlisted projects will be featured in the October issue of BPN Magazine, as well as on the BPN website. Winners will again be featured in the Nov/Dec issue of BPN Magazine.

The judges for the 2013 Awards include Richard Francis-Jones, design director of Australian architecture practice FJMT; Dick Clarke, director of sustainable building consultancy Envirotecture; and Malay Dave, a doctoral research student in the field of self-sustainable housing at the Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) for Low Carbon Living, as well as an associate at Kennedy Associates Architects.

All entries for the 2013 Awards can be submitted under these nine categories:

  • Large Commercial
  • Office Fitout
  • Single Dwelling (New)
  • Single Dwelling (Alterations & Additions)
  • Multi Density Residential
  • Landscape Design
  • Public Building & Urban Design
  • Innovation of the Year
