The Kitchen and Bathroom Design Institute (KBDI) have declared their annual design awards open to entrants for 2014.
In its sixth successive year, the KBDI awards celebrate the talent of all Australian Kitchen and Bathroom Designers—from high profile professionals to the up-and-coming designers.
Alex Milne, the executive director of KBDI highlights that these awards are markedly different to others in the industry. By focussing on the design process rather than the finished product, the KBDI says their awards, unlike others, focus on the quality of design rather than workmanship.
The major prize winner’s earn international recognition and a place on the KBDI International Design Tour in 2015 which includes a visit to the world-renowned trade fair, Interzum, in Germany.
Entries for the awards close on the 26th of May and the finalists will be announced at the Chapters Events Week that begins on the 16th of June. Major prizes from the categories Australian Certified Designer of the Year, Australian Kitchen Designer of the Year, Australian Bathroom Designer of the Year and the Design Space Award will be announced at the Awards Gala to be held in Victoria Park, Brisbane, on the 8th of August.
