The second TAFE Queensland SkillsTech Open Day takes place at the Acacia Ridge Training Centre on Wednesday 4 June from 10.00am to 2.00pm.

Open Days offer participants an opportunity to gain first-hand understanding of trade and technical training and related career pathways. Participants at the TAFE Queensland SkillsTech Open Day will tour the Acacia Ridge Training Centre (one of the largest trade and technical facilities in the southern hemisphere); talk to trade-qualified teachers and current students; join in light and heavy automotive, engineering, electrical, wet trades, carpentry, plumbing, and foundry WorldSkills Try a Trade demonstrations; and watch all the action at the Association of Wall and Ceiling Industries of Australia’s Apprentice Challenge to find Queensland’s most outstanding plastering and wet trades apprentices.

There will also be displays from TAFE Queensland partners, such as apprentice organisations, pop up stalls including discounted work wear, a sausage sizzle, wood-fired pizza, the Red Bull Girls and plenty of giveaways.

TAFE Queensland SkillsTech staff will also be present to answer questions about courses, apprenticeships and enrolment.

The Open Day will be held at TAFE Queensland SkillsTech, Bracken Ridge, 247 Bradman Street, Acacia Ridge.
