Rivergum Homes Group announces the appointment of Julie Durand to the senior role of General Manager – Sales and Marketing.

According to Rivergum Homes Group Managing Director Victor Said, Ms Durand would take on the newly created role with a national focus that would build on the significant growth achieved by the company in Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia.

As a high calibre property executive with extensive achievement in land development, building and real estate in both the private and public sectors, Julie will help Rivergum Homes Group grow its profile in key markets while also establishing a strong platform for growth in exciting new markets across Australia.

Ms Durand previously held a senior executive role at the Government of South Australia’s Urban Renewal Authority (Renewal SA). She brings extensive experience in strategic planning, corporate governance, strategic marketing, campaign structuring and implementation, market research and analysis, media management and public relations to her new position.

Ms Durand said Rivergum Homes Group was well placed to strengthen its position as a leading high volume building and land development company. Her immediate focus will be on the development and implementation of a nationally integrated sales and marketing strategy for commercial and retail housing that aligns with Rivergum’s established strategic plan and growth targets.

Founded by Mr Said, Rivergum Homes Group is an award-winning 20-year-old home building and land development company based in Adelaide.

In 2014, Rivergum Homes received multiple awards for design, innovation and environmental excellence. The company was recently awarded the Best Custom Built Home over $2.5 million by the Housing Industry Association (HIA), while development subsidiary, Living Developments, won both the Medium Density Housing and Environmental Excellence categories at the Urban Development of Australia (UDIA) Awards for Excellence for the Bowden, Terraces on Sixth development in Adelaide.

Ms Durand’s appointment completes the high calibre executive team at Rivergum Homes Group that will be led by Mr Said and also includes Chief Financial Officer Marc Taintey, General Manager – Housing Rod Trebilco, and General Manager – Property Rob Alvaro.
