Australasian design group MODE announces the appointment of senior staff in key roles to support its growing team and capabilities throughout Australasia. MODE operates nine studios in Australia and New Zealand.

The new appointments include Edward Lynch as National Director, Martine Menerey as Director of Operations and Stuart Young as Director.

Edward Lynch is a highly experienced and well-known design business executive, who has joined MODE following a decade-long career with a global multi-disciplinary consultancy. Mr Lynch’s extensive three-decade career spans the architecture, design, engineering and construction industries in Australia, the Americas and throughout Asia and the Middle East. Appointed to the newly created position of National Director at MODE, he brings with him an enthusiastic and strategic approach to business and design management as well as experience and skills in urban design and community generation.

Managing Principal Rhonan O’Brien comments that Edward will support MODE’s growth consolidation in Australasia, and assist in the strategic expansion of the design group in various international markets through existing alliances.

MODE also promoted a total of nine senior staff in 2014 to help provide the necessary leadership to foster growth and change.

Chief Operations Officer, Martine Menerey has been promoted to Director of Operations. Martine works closely with the group’s leaders overseeing and guiding business management and strategic planning nationally. As COO, she has driven many of MODE’s successes in developing relationships with a variety of new national client groups.

Associate and leading correctional designer Stuart Young has been promoted to Director, supporting MODE’s Justice team expansion with the recent appointment to a number of secure environment projects in Australia and New Zealand last year.

MODE’s Sydney and Darwin offices also welcome the promotion of Studio Directors Paul Oreshkin and Dr David Bridgman to fill newly created roles as design mentors and client relationship managers within these offices.
