Judging by reviews of the recently completed Sake Restaurant & Bar at The Rocks in Sydney, interior designers Luchetti Krelle have created an ambience that is as original as the menu. Sympathetic to the heritage building, Sake Restaurant & Bar celebrates the contrast between refined, Japanese inspired design and rustic colonial aesthetics. Classic Japanese motifs and joinery construction methods are referenced, deconstructed and appropriated with a modern twist.

KE-ZU’s Smile chairs and bar stools by Lievore Altherr Molina are used and characterised as somewhere between the Orient and the Occident yet revelling in its classical references. Made of solid timber, the Smile chair combines visual lightness with structural strength, making it suitable for both contract and residential markets.

Luchetti Krelle is a Surry Hills based, interior design firm established by partners Stuart Krelle and Rachel Luchetti. Although Luchetti Krelle maintains a diverse portfolio, its primary focus is in the hospitality sector.

The international magazine, Wallpaper*, awarded Smile the Best Dining Chair and noted ‘with its subtle gentle curves, you can smile and kiss goodbye to bad chair days’. Known for its furniture design, Lievore Altherr Molina also develops interior design projects, packaging and product design.
