The merger of Australian architectural practices Mode Design and Codd Stenders places them in the Top 20 architectural firms nationwide.

The merger consists of the national Mode Design practice, which includes 75 staff and studios in Brisbane, Darwin, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and Sydney) and the Codd Stenders practice, which is based in Brisbane with 22 staff, creating a firm of almost 100 staff.

Codd Stenders will be re-branded Mode Codd Stenders, with a move to the Mode Design brand within two years. Mode Design will still operate as Mode Design.

It currently offers architectural services in master planning, urban development, interior design and graphic design, with specialists in industries such as affordable housing and residential, education, health, community services, retail, mining and defence.

Staff will share both offices on Annerley Road in the Brisbane market, with the management team primarily based at the Mode Design premises.
