The 2011 designEX will include the new feature event Décor, a platform for the soft furnishings, blinds and accessory industries.
It will bring a broad product selection to local interior designers and decorators.
The Décor precinct will have its own dedicated workshop and seminar stage covering decorating topics such as sustainability, global trends, paints and finishes and wall art, plus numerous sessions dedicated to textiles and textile trends.
Confirmed speakers include Jo Lamble, Channel 7’s Sunrise resident psychologist, who will discuss the benefits of a balanced interior on the human psyche. Also confirmed is interior designer, Claudia Chan Shaw, who will discuss movements in art and their influence on today’s design trends.
The designEX event takes place Wednesday 13 April to Friday 15 April, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
