Entries have opened for the 2011 BPN Sustainabililty Awards.

Now in their fifth year, the awards will showcase projects, products and companies at the forefront of ecologically sustainable design in Australia's built environment.

Run by Architecture & Design’s sister publication BPN, a respected industry journal since 1967, interest in the awards has continued to grow each year, along with recognition of the significance of good building design to the environment. And 2011 promises to herald an unprecedented standard in sustainable build initiatives.

To be eligible to apply, projects must have been completed in the period January 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011. Products or services being entered in the Innovation of the Year category must have been launched in the same period.

Finalists will be announced in the September issue of BPN, with the winners announced at a gala presentation in Sydney on October 13, 2011. The winners and highly commended will also be published in the December issue of BPN.
