A group of students from the Royal College of Art, London have develop a pen and pad that allows you to draw in mid air.

The Innovation Design Engineering students came up with the ‘Gravity’ pen and pad as a way to change the creative process for designing 3D objects.

The concept operates using augmented reality software, with the pad used as a 3D plane that can be rotated to sketch new facets of an object.

The patent-pending system hardware and software system has gone through several working prototypes and now the students are looking to start manufacturing.
