A Toilet Replacement Program is being run in Melbourne, helping households reduce their water usage through the replacement of inefficient single flush toilets with a 4 star WELS rated dual flush Caroma or Stylus toilet suite.
The Program is being run by South East Water, City West Water and Yarra Valley Water in conjunction with Schultz Plumbing.
The new toilets come at a significantly reduced price via a rebate. The price represents a saving of more than 35 per cent for the cost of a new toilet suite and includes installation by a licensed plumber and the removal of the old single flush model. A water efficient showerhead and flow control valve can also be fitted at no extra cost.
Single flush toilet suits are one of the biggest water users inside the home and if replaced with a 4.5/3 litre Caroma Smartflush suite can save the average household up to 35,000L of water every year.
