A record 200 architectural practices from across the state will present their entries to the New South Wales Architecture Awards jury on the 27th and 28th of March. This is the first phase in the judging process for the awards.

Projects competing this year range from small residential alterations to much anticipated, large scale projects such as the Ivy in George Street and the new Law school at the University of Sydney.

Awards will be presented in 10 different categories including public architecture, residential alterations and additions, commercial, urban design, conservation, small projects and sustainability.

The NSW Architecture Awards are presented by the Australian Institute of Architects and will be announced on June 18th. Winners will progress to the National Architecture Awards which will be announced in Melbourne in October.
