CSR Cemintel is urging all interested designers, architects, building designers and relevant students submit an entry before the inaugural CSR Cemintel 9 Dots Award close on 15 September.

CSR Cemintel General Manager Drew Spiden says, “Cemintel is overwhelmed with the calibre of entries to date - it’s inspiring to see the scope of the designs and how innovative the entrants have been with the use of the different colours and textures of CSR Cemintel Designer Series.”

Entrants are asked to create a residential design using select CSR Cemintel products by thinking outside the 9 dots.

The design must feature at least two panels from the Cemintel Designer Series external facade range, plus either Cemintel Residential Expresswall or CeminSeal Barestone.

The design must meet the needs of today's customer for an attractive, versatile and aspirational design where texture, colour and lifestyle are all important, using a CAD system of your choice.

The winner of the 9 Dots Award will receive a 17 day architectural study tour in Europe across seven cities, with award winning Australian Architect, Malcolm Carver valued at $13,000.

Entries will be judged on the following criteria: creativity and overall design innovation, colour palette and texture consistency, impact and kerb appeal of the overall house and inspirational use of CSR Cemintel products.

The judging panel will consist of Melonie Bayl-Smith, Director of liquid Architecture and Adjunct Professor, Malcolm Carver, Architect and former Principal of Scott Carver Architects, Kim Chadwick and Lucy Sutherland, Managing Directors of Colourways.

Entries close 5.00pm 15th September, 2012.
