Australian furnishings brand Art Hide recently created its second installation at high end restaurant the Sentinel Bar and Grill in Perth.

The unique application of cowhide in an outside dining area transformed the space adding warmth and texture using natural hides in varying shades of colour.

Sentinel’s first installation of a 20 square metre natural cowhide interior wall hanging complemented and balanced the extensive use of jarrah inside the restaurant. Sentinel used the Art Hide piece as a visual centrepiece of the restaurant’s branding and commissioned the second piece.

Art Hide collaborates with architects and interior designers to apply cowhide in exciting new ways to commercial, residential and hospitality environments.

Art Hide’s natural, dyed and lasered designs can be used for wall cladding, wrapped panels, banquette seating and/or upholstery.

Art Hide Founding Director, Kura Perkins, said: “The distinctive textures and colours of Art Hide make for a unique, durable and surprisingly versatile finish which injects a sense of warmth and luxury into any environment. Cowhide is also superb for acoustics management which is often a problem in public venues.”
