Architect Elisa Justin of Justin Architecture in collaboration with developer Charles Justin, formerly of SJB Architects; have designed a 7+star environmentally rated residential project, Art House, located in Melbourne's bayside suburb of St Kilda.

Solar panels will provide 85 per cent of electricity needs while rainwater will be collected for 100 per cent toilet flushing and garden irrigation, and the optimal use of sunlight and natural resources.

The original derelict and vandalised house will be demolished and turned into 12 apartments. However in the meantime the building has become a space for three artists who have turned it into a public art project called Fallow that has been open to the public for the past month and will continue to be open for the next few months.

Elisa Justin said that although Art-House is designed for the future, it should carry part of its rich history into its ongoing life.
