The BPN Environ Sustainability Awards recognise building professionals who are leading the way to a more sustainable future. In 2008, the awards were expanded to include three new categories, including Innovation of the Year for a product or service, Single Dwelling (Alterations & Extensions) and Landscape Design.

Submissions were judged on several criteria, including energy, water and resource efficiency, recycled content and materials, and areas of innovation.

The awards will be presented November 13 at the Australian Museum and will recognise leaders in the industry. Category winners and highly commended entrants will be announced in the December 2008 issue of BPN.

This year the awards are sponsored by bpn.com.au, CSR Hebel, ecospecifier, Everhard Industries, James Hardie, Reed Construction Data, Ritek, Solatube, Stormtech and Vergola.
