Fleetwood Building Solutions was engaged by the Queensland Department of Education to build a new school in place of the existing asbestos ridden legacy building in Eagleby, QLD. The builder was contracted to deliver a complete turnkey solution for the Eagleby State School including multiple general learning areas, along with several connected decking ramps, concrete paths and a lift for easy access.

Fleetwood delivered a double-storeyed building that was operational in a fraction of the time needed for a traditional build, thanks to its modular design. The modular solution allowed the school to continue to grow without hindering class sizes or causing disruption to students and teachers.

Fleetwood chose Safetyline Jalousie louvre windows for the Eagleby school, having worked with the brand previously on other projects. The Eagleby State School incorporated 20 louvre windows, which were manufactured and assembled in Sydney within a short lead time, ready for delivery to Fleetwood’s factory for installation. This process not only maximised time efficiencies and quality control but also minimised offsite and onsite waste and costs.

Designed to support modern learning environments, the school also has a high quality ventilation solution from Safetyline Jalousie that is safe, secure, reliable and sustainable, both now and well into the future.

The louvre windows supplied by Safetyline Jalousie measured 1414mm height x 1000mm width, and featured a clear anodised finish, 6mm louvres made from clear toughened glass, and a standard lever operation.
