PILA group® announces the addition of two new products to their existing range of cost-effective barrier netting systems.

Barrier netting systems are designed to protect the public and property from the danger of balls flying past the boundary of the playing field. PILA group’s catalogue of popular goal posts and barrier netting systems now includes the 4m semi-permanent barrier netting system and 6m semi-permanent barrier netting system.

Semi-permanent barrier netting systems are the most preferred method to prevent balls flying into the crowd or out of the ground beyond goal posts, ensuring public safety. The semi-permanent design allows both poles and nets to be removed when not required or in high winds. The barrier netting system has a quick release mechanism that allows both poles and nets to be lowered quickly. PILA’s user-friendly net pulley system allows users to raise and lower the nets from the ground, avoiding the need for cranes or elevated work platforms.

PILA group’s new barrier netting systems feature poles made from marine grade 6063 T6 high tensile untapered alloy tube with pearl white UV stabilised powdercoat finish, HDG steel spigot bases and bullet caps. The aesthetically pleasing bullet cap fits snugly over the pole, preventing water and moisture from entry. The stainless steel spigot base fittings use PILA’s unique vandal-proof security locking screws and come with PVC ground sleeves and ground sleeve caps for use in storage.

The system also comes with PILA’s industry leading 7-year structural warranty.

PILA’s 120mm² nets reduce the wind loading on the poles for increased safety.

The barrier netting systems are supplied in 10m increments, with both new products available as a set of four poles and 30m nets as standard. While the 4m semi-permanent barrier netting system is ideal for all levels of soccer, allowing at least a 1.5m clearance above the crossbar, the 6m semi-permanent barrier netting system is suitable for all levels of soccer as well as junior levels of AFL, rugby union and rugby league.

PILA offers installation services for the barrier netting system; alternatively, a complete DIY installation guide can be provided for smaller grounds on a budget.
