Modular commercial balustrades from Moddex were specified for installation at the Telegraph Road Corridor in Brisbane.

Georgiou Group was awarded the $41 million project in April 2018 by the Brisbane City Council, with the work encompassing a motorway upgrade between Nudgee and Deagon in addition to pavement and safety works through to Bracken Ridge. A key objective of the Telegraph Road Corridor upgrade was to improve traffic safety and efficiency on the motorway.

Moddex worked with Georgiou to provide modular commercial balustrades around culverts and along the refurbished stretch of the roadway.

Having previously worked with Brisbane City Council, Moddex was nominated by the Council to provide a suitable balustrade product for this project. Entering the project at an early stage, Moddex was able to work with the Council and Georgiou to provide a modular system compliant to AS5100.2.

Moddex delivered a bespoke solution based on their proprietary system that met RPEQ certification. The custom balustrades were supplied directly to Georgiou for installation with Moddex’s own install teams assisting where there were time constraints onsite.
