OPAL: Superior plasterboard when only the best will do

OPAL plasterboard is made of special heavier duty lining papers and a high density gypsum core. The surface liner paper offers the whitest and smoothest premium surface finish that is UV resistant, easy to clean and minimizes any glancing light issues.

OPAL delivers the ideal combination of superior sound insulation, impact resistance and improved fire resistance to offer years of service and delight. It offers up to six times less impact damage compared to standard 10mm plasterboard.

OPAL is particularly suited for walls and ceilings in residential projects. Its high performance makes it perfect for bright, exposed large open living, dining or ‘alfresco’ spaces and high traffic areas subject to wear and tear, such as stairs, rumpus rooms and corridors. It improves the acoustics in noisy spaces needing extra sound resistance such as bedrooms, media rooms and children’s play rooms.

OPAL has been independently certified by Global GreenTag to GreenRate Level A.

    Features and benefits:

    • Reduces sound transfer between rooms to improve indoor environment quality
    • Excellent impact resistance
