    Recycled timber helps retain heritage character in National Trust Home renovation

    Kennedys Classic Aged Timbers

    Recycled timber from Kennedys Classic Aged Timbers was extensively used during the period renovation of the National Trust Home.

    This project included an extension to the rear of the home and renovation of the classic heritage architecture, it being a beautiful representation of a classic early 1880s Queensland timber colonial residence.

    Brisbane architects dion seminara architecture selected recycled bridge and wharf timbers in Class 1 durability Australian hardwood for the restoration of the heritage home. The timber finish was achieved by first hand-brushing and then coating the timber in the specified finish.
