Kennards advises companies to make bookings early to avoid the rush for stocktake hire equipment at the end of the financial year. Equipment that can make the job easier includes forklift work platforms and a large range of trolleys, handtrucks, pallet trucks, scoots and skates.
Forklift work platforms can accommodate two people and are quicker and easier to manoeuvre than order pickers. The forklift work platforms have a 250kg SWL and comply with AS2359.1., and weigh 115kg. The internal dimensions are 1.2m long, one metre wide and 1.9m high and include harness anchor points with slipper locking pins.
The range of trolleys includes a stock picking model, which is mounted on large castors for easy manoeuvring and includes a 46 litre bin.
Also available are tiered trolleys, with two or three tiers, platform trolleys, hydraulic platform trolleys, drum trolleys and a portalift, which enables one person to safely move up to 100kg from ground level to a height of one metre.
There is also a wide selection of pallet trucks for hire, including models with brakes, scales, electric power and high lift and sideways moving capacity.
